If Only They Had WonIf only they had won. “If I had only done my job!” raged Samantha. The thought exploded so painfully in her mind that she could hardly resist screaming it. “I’m the captain! It’s my job to lead the team. The captain leads, and I lead them all to losing! I must be the worst captain ever. Coach is going to be furious with me. If I boxed out in the one play we might have won. If I had made that basket, we could have won. If I hadn’t made that pass, if I had taken it to the basket that one time… we could have won! I screwed up the whole game. I played awful and I took the whole team down with me. DamIf Only They Had Won
